This gives you a steady, secure and reliable connection while removing single points of failure. It also solves a common issue with Starlink and mobile data, the lack of a Static IP. Encrypted SpeedFusion tunnel provides a fixed IP for CCTV, payments, remote access and VPNs .

Worth being upfront about one thing: this protects you if any single connection fails, whether that’s your fibre line, a mobile mast, or Starlink itself. It doesn’t protect against the building losing power outright, since the router itself needs power to do the bonding. Where continuous uptime matters enough to cover that too, a battery or UPS backup for the router closes that last gap, and it’s something we can add to the setup.

Three SIM features worth knowing about

5G Standalone (5G SA)

Most 5G devices still run on the old 4G core underneath. True 5G Standalone runs on a dedicated 5G core end to end, lower latency and higher throughput, the difference that matters for applications like connected and autonomous vehicles, not just faster browsing. O2 currently has the most developed Standalone infrastructure for these use cases in the UK, with Vodafone and EE both actively expanding theirs. Our 5G SA SIMs are provisioned through our supplier's MVNO platform, which isn't subject to the same contention rules that can affect some standard retail SIMs when a network is under load. That's a genuine structural difference, not a guaranteed speed boost, actual performance still depends on network build-out and coverage at your specific location.

Multi-network SIM (dual-IMSI)

Rather than tie you to one network, this SIM carries two profiles: a primary optimised for cost and low latency, and a secondary that automatically takes over on one of the other three UK networks if the primary becomes unavailable. That's domestic UK network resilience, not international roaming, and the switch happens automatically with nothing for you to do. A fixed IP can be added on request; it isn't included by default.

Pause instead of cancel

On our M2M dual-IMSI plans, an idle SIM can be paused for a low monthly fee rather than cancelled outright. The full data allowance stays in reserve and the plan resumes automatically the moment it's used again, no calls, no paperwork. Useful for spare failover routers, seasonal sites, and kit that sits idle between jobs.
